Do you ship internationally?

Yes. For international orders, please reach out to sales@tabarkastudio.com for quotes and logistics coordination.

What are your shipping timelines?

  • Stock orders: Ship within 1–2 weeks (plus transit time).
  • Made-to-order collections: Approximately 8 weeks for production.
Shipping times may vary based on destination and carrier availability.

What happens on delivery day?

Our freight partner will contact you to schedule a delivery window. Please confirm within 24 hours to avoid storage or re-delivery fees.

Deliveries are curbside via lift gate, and the driver cannot move materials indoors. A recipient must be present to sign for and inspect the order.

What should I do when my order arrives?

Inspect all boxes before signing. Open 2–3 boxes to check for concealed damage.
If you find any issues, note them on the Bill of Lading (BOL) and email claims@tabarkastudio.com within 48 hours with photos and a brief description.

Do you accept returns or cancellations?

Because every order is handcrafted and made to order, returns are not accepted.
Orders can be canceled within 4 hours of confirmation by emailing orders@tabarkastudio.com.

What is your breakage policy?

A breakage rate of 2–4% is normal for handmade tile. We recommend ordering 15% extra to account for trimming, variation, and cuts.

  • Made-to-order collections: Require approximately 8 weeks for production.
Lead times do not include transit time.

Explore our Look by to discover inspiring spaces and browse by room.

4. TILE VARIATION & IMPERFECTIONS GUIDE

Are variations normal?

Yes. All Tabarka tiles are handmade, and natural variation in tone, size, and texture is expected and part of the product’s beauty.

Why does my tile look different from my sample?

Batch differences in clay, glaze, and firing produce organic variation between lots. These subtle changes make each installation unique.

How much extra tile should I order?

We recommend ordering at least 15% overage to allow for cuts, pattern layout, and potential breakage.

5. INSTALLATION GUIDELINES

Where can I find installation and maintenance information?

Detailed guidelines are available for every collection on our website and as downloadable PDFs, including:

  • Terracotta Installation & Maintenance Guide
  • Cement Tile Installation & Maintenance Guide
  • Zenati & Edri Wood Installation & Maintenance Guide
  • Petite Alliance Installation Guide

6. GROUT

What grout should I use?

We recommend a 3/16″ to 1/4″ grout joint for installation. Due to the handmade nature of our terracotta tiles, slight variations in size and shape are expected. It is more important that the tiles are visually aligned and balanced than that the grout joints appear perfectly uniform.

Each tile is individually handmade and hand-painted, resulting in natural variations in color, tone, and dimension that are inherent to the artistry of our process. These characteristics are not defects but part of the unique charm and authenticity of our material.

For grout color, we suggest Antique White or Off White with our Off White tile color. If your tile background is a true white, a brighter white grout can be selected for a cleaner, more seamless look.

Should I seal before grouting?

Yes. Pre-seal all cement and terracotta tiles before applying grout to prevent staining.

Should grout lines be sealed again after?

Yes. Once cured, seal with a penetrating sealer to protect against water and discoloration.

7. TRIM & EDGE

Do you offer trims?

Yes. Tabarka Studio offers handcrafted trims including bullnose, liners, moldings, stair-noses, and base trims to complete your installation.

Are trim pieces handmade?

Yes. Each piece is hand-finished to coordinate beautifully with our tiles. Slight variation in tone or texture is normal.

All Tabarka Studio products are covered by a One-Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase.

How should I clean my tile?

Use a soft mop or cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh or abrasive products containing bleach, ammonia, or acid.
