It began, as many good stories do, with a quiet moment of discovery, one marked by a single tile found in a forgotten shop in Istanbul. It wasn’t just the tile that stayed with us, but the feeling it carried: timeworn, storied, and imperfectly beautiful. That moment became the spark behind Tabarka’s vision.
Two decades later, that spark has grown into something far greater than craft. By the spring of 2014, after years devoted to terracotta, we had evolved into a modern atelier of surfaces – hand-painted terracotta, wood, and stone, guided by an aesthetic that honors history without being bound to it. Our design language favors patina over polish, and substance over trend.
Our journey has brought us back to our cultural roots while leading us through the most fascinating corners of the world. We draw inspiration from the everyday, the overlooked, and the beautifully unexpected.
